Historic Weekend For Outlaws
Wooster native Sheldon Haudenschild captured his first career World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series feature Friday night at the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. Haudenschild passed Paul McMahan with 3 laps to go to get the win.
One night later Donny Schatz took the checkered flag to capture his 250th career victory with the World of Outlaws.
Sprints Returning to Midvale
Midvale Speedway announced this weekend that the Must See Racing Sprint Cars will return for the second annual Buckeye State Shootout on Saturday, July 14th. Last year Jimmy McCune held off nephew Anthony McCune to capture the 40 lap feature event.
Midvale also announced the 2018 Fall Classic will be held October 12th, 13th and 14th. Details of divisions and other information will come at a later time.
Late Model Weekend
Attica and Fremont will host the American Ethanol Late Model Tour on back-to-back nights in May. The series will visit Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 11th and head to Fremont Speedway one night later on Saturday, May 12th.
Speaking Of Late Models
Raceway 7 in Conneaut is the newest track to join the Sweeney RUSH Late Model Weekly Series. The first ever RUSH-sanctioned event at Raceway 7 will take place on Friday, May 4th.
Midwest Supermodified Series Schedule Released
A 6-race slate has been released for the inaugural season for the Midwest Supermodified Series.
May 12: Sandusky Speedway – Sandusky, Ohio
June 9: Midvale Speedway – Midvale, Ohio
June 16: Lorain County Speedway – South Amherst, Ohio
July 7: Sandusky Speedway – Sandusky, Ohio
August 4: Lorain County Speedway – South Amherst, Ohio
September 29: Lucas Oil Raceway – Indianapolis, Indiana
Modifieds At Painesville
Four dates have been released for fans who want to see modifieds at The Painesville Speedway. Modifieds will be in action on April 29th, August 25th, October 27th and 28th.
