With rain and cold temps knocking out last weeks races, NAPA Jani Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway is ready to get back on track with the Fast Four Racing program as the Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints, the Kar Connection Super Late Models, the CorBon Super Stocks along with the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks will be hitting on all cylinders Saturday, May 5th. Although it’s the first points race for the Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints, many of the drivers competed in the All Star Circuit of Champions two weeks ago as Mitch Harble was the regular driver from WCS to have the best finish at 17th.
Ryan Markham scored the first points win two weeks ago for the Kar Connection Super Late Models and has the points lead going into the second night of action. Franklin Pa.’s Matt Lux was second and J R Gentry was third.
For the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks, it will be their first action on the newly resurfaced 3/8 mile oval of ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval.’ Bob Daugherty (Super Stocks) and Cory Staley (Mini Stocks) were the 2017 track champions.
The Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints will headline the month of May at NAPA Jani Auto Parts Wayne County schedule as Saturday, May 12th will see the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) in for a $3,000 to win event and then the next week, May 19th, the Ohio Sprint Car Series (OSCS) invades for a $2,500 to win race. The Kar Connection Super Late Models, the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks are on the racing card both of those nights.
The All Star Circuit of Champions will make their second visit of the season on Saturday, May 26th as $5,000 will be the top prize money as the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks will also be in action.
