Staff Report

Rain has forced officials with the World of Outlaws to postpone this weekends Outlaw Invasion at Atomic Speedway. The two-day event has been moved and will now be held on September 28th and 29th.

“We have worked extremely close all week with Atomic Speedway promoter Brad McCown, and we feel that given the conditions right now and what we’re facing as the week goes on the best scenario for fans and competitors is to move the event to September,” Series Director Matt Curl said in a statement on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models website. “Thanks to the weather, we’re now looking forward to a huge weekend in the fall with title implications on the line that will create an incredible atmosphere on Atomic’s high-banks.”

Modifieds, compacts and sport mods will also join the late models on the final weekend in September. The modifieds will race for $1,000-to-win on Friday and $5,000-to-win on Saturday. Compacts will run for $250-to-win on Friday and the sport mods will race for $500-to-win on Saturday.

Tickets purchased in advance will be honored for the September weekend. If you have questions please call Atomic Speedway at 740-703-9749. Additional information on the Outlaw Invasion at Atomic Speedway on Sept. 28-29 will be released closer to the event.
