In a thrilling finish Wednesday night at Eldora Speedway, Chase Briscoe beat ThorSport Racing teammate Grant Enfinger to the line to win the 6th annual Eldora Dirt Derby. The win for the Sandusky, Ohio based team is their second straight in the event following Matt Crafton’s win in 2017. Crafton finished 4th Wednesday night giving ThorSport Racing three trucks inside the top-5.

“This win at Eldora means so much. I’ve been coming over here since I was probably 6 or 7 years old. It means a ton to me to win at Eldora. If I had to pick one track on the truck schedule it would certainly be Eldora to win at,” said Briscoe.

Briscoe led 3 times for 54 laps. He crossed the finish line first, edging out Enfinger in overtime by 0.038 seconds. The one-off race for Briscoe marked his second straight win in the NCWTS after he captured the season finale last year at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

As for the effort from Enfinger, he’s not sure what more he could have done.

“I think we had really equal Ford F-150’s. I feel like I nailed the restart, I really don’t know what we could have done different. I think it was just a heck of a race, heck of a run for ThorSport Racing.” said Enfinger.

Briscoe hopes the win can secure a ride for the 2019 event.

“Hopefully I got a ride for next year? I’ll have to start working on these guys next week. Being able to reward these guys with getting a win is definitely cool,” said Briscoe.

Overall it was a solid day for ThorSport Racing. Ben Rhodes set fast time with his No. 41 Ford and won stage one. Briscoe won stage two with Enfinger finishing 2nd.
