Grant Enfinger secured a spot in the second round of the Camping World Truck Series Playoffs with a win Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The race went into three overtimes before the driver of the No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford could finish a solid night. Along with winning the race, Enfinger won stage 2.
Enfinger started second on the final restart. Leader Brett Moffit had trouble with his No. 16 Toyota picking up fuel, allowing Enfinger to get by. Enfinger was then able to hold off Johnny Sauter and take the checkered flag for Sandusky, Ohio based ThorSport Racing.
It was already a special night in Las Vegas for ThorSport Racing before Enfinger captured the checkered flag. ThorSport Racing team manager David Pepper, who is the spotter for Enfinger, was working his 500th consecutive race in the Camping World Truck Series. Pepper has been with ThorSport Racing for 15 years.
