Tifft Joins Front Row

Front Row Motorsports announced Monday that it has added a third team for the 2019 season in the NASCAR Cup Series. Matt Tifft, a native of Hinckley, Ohio will drive the No.

36 Ford Mustang, joining Michael McDowell and David Ragan. Tifft spent the last two season driving full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Tifft scored 13 top-10 finishes with Joe Gibbs racing in 2017 and finished with 19 top-10 finishes with Richard Childress Racing in 2018.

Big Events Ahead

Late models, modifieds and midgets will be racing this weekend in St. Louis at the Gateway Dirt Nationals. The three day event opens Thursday with a 20-lap, $5,000 to-win late model race. Heat races and preliminary events will take place Friday night. On Saturday, the late model main event pays $30,000 to-win. The midget and modified main events pay $10,000 to-win. Cody Sommer is the promoter of the VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals. He provided an update on the event Tuesday evening in a Facebook video that is attached below.

Drivers continue to submit entries for the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals. The 33rd annual event takes place from January 14th through the 19th at the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Click here for the entry list.

Sharon, PPMS To Host RUSH Sportsman Mods

The RUSH Sportsman Mods will have a weekly event on Saturday’s from May 4th through October 5th at Sharon Speedway or Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. The deal between the two tracks gives the series a full schedule for 2019.

Schedule Releases Coming

Race fans will soon have more clarity when it comes to major events across Ohio tracks in 2019. The All Star Sprints will release their schedule during the final week of November. The series will also welcome Ollie’s Bargain Outlet as a new title sponsor next season. Mobil 1 will return as the presenting sponsor.

USAC (United States Auto Club) and the The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will release their schedule for 2019 at PRI next month. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series schedule should also be available soon. We do know that the World of Outlaws will bring the late models back to Sharon Speedway at the end of August.
