Recent Schedule Releases

Race tracks and series’ continue to release plans for the 2019 season. Sandusky Speedway released their 2019 schedule earlier this month. Also releasing schedules for 2019, the NRA Sprint Invaders, American Ethanol Late Model Tour and Ohio Truck Series.

The season opener for the NRA Sprint Invaders will open their season on March 16 at Waynesfield Raceway Park. Altogether the series will be in Ohio for 16 dates.

Late model fans will get to see the American Ethanol Late Model Tour in Ohio three times. The series will visit Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 10. Atomic Speedway will host the AELMT on Saturday, May 11 and Saturday, October 12.

Per the Ohio Truck Series Facebook page, the following dates have been confirmed.

McVetta Racing Adding Second Team

Mike McVetta announcing via his Facebook page that Danny Shirey will pilot a second ride out of the McVetta Racing stable in 2019. Both cars will run full time with the Midwest Supermodified Series, where McVetta was series champion in 2018. Both drivers will also race select ISMA shows in 2019.

Mansfield Ready For Renovations

Mansfield Motor Speedway will get multiple updates heading into the 2019 season. According to a release on the tracks website, the 4/10 mile dirt oval will go through a screening/sifting process. After that process is complete, new additional dirt will be added to the racing surface. In an effort to improve the overall experience at the Krall Road facility, campgrounds and roadways on the premises will also see improvements.

Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week Dates Announced

Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week returns in 2019 with 3 weekends of racing and 7 potential events. The 5th annual event, sanctioned by the Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Late Models will kick off in Richmond, Kentucky at Richmond Raceway on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. The final two weekends of racing will take place across Ohio. The show on Friday, July 26 will pay $3,000 to-win, the track is TBA. One night later Wayne County Speedway will host, also paying $3,000 to-win. The final weekend includes three dates. Thursday, August 1 is TBA, Friday, August 2 will be the 5th Annual Barn Burner at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex. The Barn Burner winner will take home $3,000. The final event will take place on Saturday, August 3 and is also TBA.
