Three days before the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series drops the green flag on the 2019 season, Sandusky, Ohio based ThorSport Racing announced their driver lineup. Johnny Sauter, the 2016 Truck Series champion and driver for ThorSport Racing from 2009 to 2012 will return to pilot the No. 13 Ford F-150. Sauter joins Matt Crafton, Ben Rhodes and Grant Enfinger as full-time drivers for the longest-tenured team in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Myatt Snider will run a part-time schedule for ThorSport Racing in 2019 after earning the Truck Series Rookie of the Year award for the team in 2018.

Sauter spent the last three season with GMS Racing. Along with winning the 2016 championship, Sauter had 13 wins. ThorSport bringing Sauter back gives the team a quartet of drivers that all have the opportunity to capture the 2019 Truck Series title. All four drivers qualified for the Truck Series playoffs in 2018.

Sauter’s first stint with ThorSport Racing was good. He earned his first career pole with the team in 2009 at Texas Motor Speedway. In September of 2009 Sauter captured the first of six career wins with ThorSport Racing, taking the checkered flag at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Along with Sauter in the No. 13, Crafton will pilot the familiar No. 88 with Enfinger in the No. 98. Rhodes moves from the No. 41 to the No. 99. Snider will drive the No. 27.

All five ThorSport Racing trucks will be in Daytona Friday night for the start of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Trucks will hit the high banks of Daytona International Speedway on Thursday for a pair of practice sessions. Qualifying will take place Friday afternoon at 4:40 p.m., with the NextEra Energy 250 scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
