It was a hot, summer night of racing on the Hill for the Holmes Pest Control sponsored street stock special.
The first feature to hit the track were fourteen youngsters in the mini wedge division. With two heat races, wins went to Caden Alexander and Roscoe Greiner. Alexander, from pole position, would take the early lead over the field fending off challenger Greiner. After leading green to checkered to pick up the win it was Caden Alexander sitting in victory lane. Second was Roscoe Greiner, sixth to third was Darryn Markey, a hard charging Bryson Alexander would finish fourth from twelfth and fifth was Lacey Nester.
Next to roll onto the track were the Newfast Motorsports trucks who again would run a feature only by pill draw. Dwayne Powell and Cole Lillibridge would make up the front row and bring the field to the start of their 18-lap feature. An early battle would see, Lillibridge take the lead over Powell with one lap in the books. Meanwhile, last week’s feature winner, Rolly Heyder, worked his way from sixth place starting position up to third with five laps down. Eight laps down, the front of the field would close in on lap traffic, providing Heyder the opportunity to challenge Powell for second. Heyder looking for a way around Powell, ultimately doing so on lap twelve. However, he would be unable to surpass Lillibridge as he would lead green to checker and pick up the win. Fourth went to Jerry Gardner and fifth Darrick Cordia.
The Holmes Pest Control street stocks featured a field of fifteen for their $800 to win special with heat race wins going to Kevin Potts and Tyler Nicely. After a top three redraw, the lineup was set, and the green was out. Kevin Potts edging out front would be challenged by David Potts, looking to the inside of this dad off turn two. However, caution would come out with three laps down before the pass was completed. Back under green, a three-wide battle for the lead would ensue between the Potts and Ty Myers. David would ultimately claim the top spot as Kevin and Myers went side by side for second. Twelve laps down, caution would once again come out, bunching the field up. Single file to the restart, David would again take the top spot while Myers worked his way around Kevin to claim second off turn two. Thus, as the checkered dropped it was David Potts once again sitting in victory lane. Finishing second was Myers followed by Kevin Potts, Tyler Nicely and Brandon Craver.
Setting fast time among The Holmes Tire late models was Shane McLoughlin with a time of 14.050. A single heat race win went to ‘The General’ George Lee with ‘The Flying Ace’ Corey Conley picking up the dash win and pole position.
Conley and Anthony Kinkade, front row, would bring the field to the green. Inside row, Conley and Shane McLoughlin would take one and two with Conley putting nearly a straight away between himself and the field with a mere three laps in the books. An early caution would bunch the field back up for the restart. Back under green, Conley would again claim the top spot with McLoughlin looking in. Unfortunately, troubles for McLoughlin as he would slow and pull it into the infield. With Conley at the front of the field, the battle would ensue for second between Kinkade and JR Gentry. Two to go, Gentry would work his way around Kinkade to claim second. However, he would be unable to surpass Conley as he would go on to pick up another win at the Hill. Finishing fourth was George Lee and fifth Dave Hornikel.
The Bugs-R-Gone modified division featured a field of eighteen with ‘Rockin’ Robin Duston setting fast time with a 15.842. Heat race winners included Bruce Miller and ‘The Logger’ Kevin Morehouse with Jimmy Smith picking up the dash win and pole position.

Under green, Smith would take the top spot followed by Kyle Moore. Meanwhile, a three-wide battle for third would ensue among Duston, Dj Cline and Casey Fritz with Fritz claiming, three laps down before the caution. Bunched up back to the green, Smith retained his position as Moore, Fritz, Cline and Morehouse battled it out for a top five position. Halfway in, Moore would secure second as Cline and Morehouse went back and forth for third. Just as things were heating up, caution would fly once again. With racing action back under way, Smith maintains the lead as Morehouse worked his way around Cline to secure third. Up to lap traffic, Moore would close in on Smith, however unable to surpass as ‘The Toboso Bullet’ would pick up his first feature win in the modified division this season. Rounding out the top five was Kevin Morehouse, Dj Cline and Casey Fritz.

Following a top three redraw, the field was set and the green out with pole sitter Clint Snyder taking the early lead. However, brief, as third place Tanner McLoughlin would challenge for the lead claiming the position off turn two. An early caution would bunch the field up for restart. Back under green, McLoughlin would retain his position as Smith would work the high side to challenge Snyder for second. Eight laps down, Smith would get the run off turn four securing second from Snyder. Setting his sights on the leader, Smith would attempt to challenge for the lead. Undeterred, McLoughlin would fend off his competition to pick up his second win of the season. Fourth went to Joe Burkhead and fifth Cody Stillion.
Rounding out the night’s events were the Newfast Motorsports mini stocks with a field of fourteen. Heat race wins went to Bill Tennant and Phillip Bubeck.
After the top three redraw, Tennant would set the pace to the green. However, trouble for Tennant as he would bring out the caution, having to restart tail of the field. With the green out, Cory Staley would take the early lead over Jordan James when caution would again come out. Double file to the restart, Staley would take the top spot as James challenged from second. Working the bumper, James would get a run off turn four to take the lead with four laps down. Unfortunately, troubles for Staley as he would slow and pull into the infield, ending his night early. Caution with eight laps down, would once again double file the field for the restart. Back under green, Phillip Bubeck would challenge James for the lead going into turn one, securing off of turn two. With nine down, Tennant would work his way back through the field after an early caution to claim second. However, as the checkered dropped it was Phillip Bubeck picking up the win.
