It was kid’s night at Hilltop Speedway with giveaways including bikes, book bags and other driver’s donations in addition to the $500 to win Rigz Towing and Snyder Hot Shot Truck and Trailer modlite special.

The youngsters of the mini wedge division would start off the night’s feature events. Split into two features. The senior wedge feature would go to Caden Alexander who would run a close second, lap after lap, until leader, Darryn Markey, would get a flat sending him back to fourth. Finishing second was Roscoe Greiner, third Miccah Greiner and fifth Devin Wolford. The junior wedge feature would have Natty Lint picking up her first feature win after working her way around Chadwick Craver on lap three. Jayce Rose would also drive to second around Craver who would ultimately finish third. Fourth went to Cooper Anthony and fifth Caine Anthony.

Rolly Heyder, setting pole, would bring the eight-truck field to the start of their feature where he would take the early lead over the field. A battle for second would ensue between Blake Heyder and Dwayne Powell. As Rolly advanced his lead, troubles for Powell with one to go as he would have to pull in the infield, Blake securing second. With the checkered in the air, finding his way back to victory lane was Rolly Heyder followed by Blake Heyder, Darrick Cordia, Logan Duncan and Scott Clantz.

Heat race winners among a field of fourteen Rigz Towing and Snyder Hot Shot Truck and Trailer modlites were Casey Butler and Tracy Fritter. After redrawing, the green was out and a familiar victor, Jimmy Smith would pick up the night’s special $500 to win after passing Tracy Fritter. Fritter who lead the first eight laps would succumb to the side by side battle with Smith on lap nine. Once out front, Smith would maintain his lead to add another victory onto the season. Second went to Fritter, third Barry Jacobs, fourth Joe Burkhead and cracking into the top five after starting fourteenth was John Large.
A field of twenty-one made up the Holmes Tire late model division with Shane McLoughlin, Ryan Markham and George Lee each picking up a heat race win. With a top three redraw, McLoughlin and Corey Conley would set on the front row for the night’s 25-lap feature.

Bringing the field to the green, Conley would jump out front over McLoughlin. An early caution, four laps in, would single file the field back to the green. Conley retaining the top spot as JR Gentry would challenge McLoughlin for second, side by side. Eight laps down, caution would again come out, bunching the field up. Slowly, back to the green, Conley maintains the lead as McLoughlin and Gentry continue their battle for second. As front runners worked their way up to lap traffic, Conley nearly a straight away lead over the field, Markham would make a late charge from his ninth place starting spot to challenge Gentry for third. Unfortunately, troubles for Gentry as he would slow coming off two down the back stretch, bringing out the yellow with three to go. With the field bunched back up for the green, Conley would again claim the lead and that is where he would remain, fending off competitors to pick up another win on the 2019 season. Rounding out the top five was McLoughlin, Markham, Vic Hottinger and cracking into the top five, after a fifteenth-place start, was Mitch Caskey.

A single heat race win among eleven Bugs-R-Gone trucks went to ‘Rockin’ Robin Duston. A top four redraw, would place Jason Brennan and Jimmy Smith on the front row for their 20-lap feature.

Setting the pace to the green, Brennan and Smith would run side by side off turn four with Smith edging out to take lap one. Meanwhile, a battle for second would ensue between Brennan, Duston and Kenny Johnson. Four laps down, Duston would clear the others off turn two to secure second. Caution with eight laps down would close the gap on the front runners as they came back to the green. Smith, retaining the top spot, as Johnson would look in on second of Duston. Side by side, Johnson and Duston would challenge one another as the laps dwindled. Johnson on the high side, Duston on the bottom, coming into lap seventeen, Johnson would edge out over Duston to take second. Three laps to the checker, Smith out front and that is where he would remain, picking up his second feature win on the night. Finishing second was Johnson followed by Duston, DJ Cline and breaking into the top five was George Lee up from tenth.

The Holmes Pest Control street stocks had a field of eleven with Jeff Lanham and Michael Amick each picking up a heat race win. A top three redraw and the field was set. With the drop of the green, outside pole sitter, Amick would take lap one. Norm Aronhalt would work his way around Lanham for second with two laps down just as a caution would come out. Back under green, Amick would retain the top spot as Aronhalt and Kevin Potts battled it out for second. Five laps down, caution would fly once again. Bunching the field back up to the restart, the green was out and Aronhalt would challenge, side by side, with Amick, getting the run on the high side off turn four to take the lead on lap six. Troubles for Amick entering turn one and two, Kevin Potts and David Potts would take advantage and move into second and third. With Aronhalt nearly a straightaway ahead of the field, a side by side battle between father and son would ensue. Eleven laps down, David would get the run going into turn one and would secure second as the two went down the backstretch. Nevertheless, picking up his first feature win of the season was ‘Stormin’ Norman Aronhalt. David Potts, second, a drag race to the checker, Kevin Potts would take third over Michael Amick and fifth Trae Schonauer.
Rounding out the night’s event were the Newfast Motorsports mini stocks with heat race winners Brad Hensel, Cory Staley and Phillip Bubeck. With the field set after top three redraw, the green was out and Jason St. John would take lap one. Looking in a close second was Wes Staley who would challenge and take the lead coming into lap two, off turn four. Meanwhile, Brad Hensel, who started ninth would work his way through the field up to second by lap six. Caution, would bunch the field up, allowing Hensel the opportunity to close the gap on Staley. Back under green, Hensel would challenge Staley, ultimately claiming the top spot and eighth place starter Phillip Bubeck would make a charge to challenge for second. Nevertheless, once out front, Brad Hensel would remain, picking up another feature on the season. Fending off Bubeck to take second was Wes Staley, fourth went to Jason St, John and fifth Colton St. John.
