An ARCA double-dip, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars and a Sunday show at Kil-Kare Raceway. That’s just some of the racing taking place this weekend across Ohio. While most tracks continue to work around the COVID-19 pandemic, other tracks have elected to remain closed for another week.

Toledo Speedway will host an ARCA Menards Series doubleheader, with racing at the .500 mile oval on Friday and Saturday. Making up rounds four and five of the Sioux Chief Showdown, this weekends doubleheader is open to both ARCA Menards Series East and West teams. Toledo Speedway will not allow spectators, though fans can catch both races live on MAVTV and on TrackPass on NBC Gold. Friday’s race is scheduled to go green at 8 p.m. ET, while Saturday’s race is scheduled to roll off at 6 p.m. ET.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars return to Wayne County Speedway Saturday. It’s the first time in 35-years that the World of Outlaws have visited “Orrville’s Historic Oval.” Steve Kinser won the last show in August, 1985.

Wooster, Ohio native Sheldon Haudenschild returns home with some momentum. Haudenschild won with the outlaws on July 23 at Lincoln Speedway (PA) and sits 5th in the series points. Haudenschild has seven career wins at Wayne County Speedway. Brad Sweet enters the weekend atop the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars series points, 18 points ahead of Logan Schuchart.

The weekend was also set to feature racing on Sunday at Kil-Kare Raceway with multiple divisions. The CRA Junior Late Model Series, CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman were among the divisions on the schedule. This show has since been canceled due to restriction put in place by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.

As always, we recommend you check with each track for complete event information. Make sure you get out and safely #SupportYourLocalShortTrack.
