This Saturday night at Wayne County Speedway will feature the McKenzie Concrete Super Stocks vying for the 4th annual Danny Gardner Memorial in a 27 lap $2,700 to win feature. The #27 was Danny Gardner’s car number for many years that he raced throughout the state of Ohio in which he won many races and track championships. Paul Holmes, T A Perrine and Doug Drown have been the winners of the previous Danny Gardner Memorials. It will also be a ‘Summer Series’ race for the Super Stocks. The Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints, the Malcuit Tavern Super Late Models, the Modifieds and the JoyRide Transport Mini Stocks are on the racing card with the Mini Stocks also in a Kirsch Properties ‘Summer Series’ race.
It will be Kid’s Night plus Kid’s Bike races this week with each youngster getting an ice cream sandwich plus many prizes will be given away throughout the evening for the kids. The Kar Connection bike races will be for kids 12 and under and broken up into boys and girls age groups. The concession stand will also have $1 hot dogs for the evening.
Gates will open at 3 pm with hot laps at 5:30 pm and racing at 7 pm. Also the state of Ohio mandates that masks be worn and social distancing be followed.
